Tech! Who needs it?!

Over the last few weeks, there have been technical problems with my email server and I have been unable to receive emails. My phone was also in for repairs and I felt lost without it.

How dependent are you on technology? It has become part of our lives. You use it for everything – communication, navigation and maps, information, diary, notes etc. Many people are unable to work without technology.

What do you do when something does not work?

Despite knowing what was wrong, I was unable to fix the email error myself. Thankfully there are people out there who are willing to help. In this case it was as simple as contacting the IT Elf to assist. He fixed it in no time.

Are there times when you know what is wrong but just don’t know how to get to where you want to be?

Asking for help can be difficult because you want to be proudly independent or you are worried what other people may think or you worry that someone won’t help you or that you may be viewed as weak. Sometimes, asking for help can make you feel vulnerable but without vulnerablity, there is no connection.

After having learnt the hard way – I finally realise that humanity is good. You will be surprised at how many people are willing to help. 

All you need to do is ask. We all need a little help along the way. It is OK to ask.
