Evolving Purpose

You are not the only one that has asked, why am I here? What is my purpose?

Do you feel like you need to find your purpose?

Somewhere you were taught that your purpose is the reason you were put on this earth. It is something you need to find.

As if your purpose is something that is separate from you that has been misplaced. It has become detached from your awareness and your life.

But what if your purpose was a process rather than just this one thing that you need to do with your life?

Purpose is dynamic and changes as you evolve as a person. It is something that is within you, and always has been. It is not separate from you, out there somewhere, floating in the world.

Purpose is linked to your heart, it is something you were born with. It has always been there.

Your evolving purpose is a completely different concept. It is a lifestyle rather than a goal. It changes as you and your environment change.

As there is no goal, dynamic purpose relies on four purpose qualities. Wendy May describes them as:

  1. Authenticity – being who you truly are in the moment regardless. Being real, even if its considered to be a ‘bad’ emotion. “Showing up without shame.” Including the privileges you occupy – knowledge, skills and personality traits etc.
  2. Attuned – being able to connect to yourself without all the noise around you in order to receive the signals and messages that are meant for you.
  3. Responsiveness (Response – ability) – aliveness that allows you to take action from a calm and present space which is not based on obligation or conditioning.
  4. Receptivity – being open to receiving messages, signals and synchronicities. Flexibility in knowing that rejection is a form of redirection, high-lighting that something isn’t working and indicating that change is needed.

In order to adopt this complete paradigm shift, you would need to let go of the idea that you need to find your purpose. Rather to relax into the notion that your purpose will find you!

Given that dynamic purpose is an entirely different concept to what you are familiar with, I am interested to know your view and your belief regarding purpose. Contact me here.

You are connected to your purpose far more that you may think.
